"Students have the right to education all over the world, but in Palestine the situation is different. For the past week, the occupation has been preventing students and teachers in areas near the Ibrahimi Mosque, particularly at the Ibrahimiyah School, from passing through the Qatun checkpoint to reach their school. Each day, when students and teachers arrive at the checkpoint, Israeli Soldiers close it completely, denying them passage. They are threatened with tear gas and stun grenades if they do not move away. Despite gathering near the checkpoint in hopes that it will open, the students and teachers are repeatedly forced to return home. Students and their teachers come back day after day, determined to continue their education and cross through the checkpoint. For Palestinians, education is more than a basic right, it is a form of resistance against the Israeli occupation." - Source
