On April 8, 2025, Israeli occupation soldiers stormed Al-Quds University campus in the town of Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem, ahead of a pro-Gaza march, attacking students with teargas canisters and stun grenades.

Their aim was to broke into the university campus ahead of a demonstration in support of the Gaza Strip and in protest of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Strip

Following the raid, intense confrontations were erupted between students and Israeli, during which the gun-toting soldiers fired a barrage of teargas at students.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reports that 23 students suffered suffocation from teargas inhalation.
