"Depleted medical sources in Gaza have reported a rise in severe cases of impetigo and other bacterial skin infections among displaced Gazans. This surge is linked to increased pollution caused by daily sewage contamination of beaches, coastal waters, soil, and freshwater. The ongoing blockade by Israel has severely restricted access to medical equipment and essential medicines, exacerbating the crisis. This situation has been further exacerbated by Israel's deliberate destruction of most of Gaza’s municipal facilities and machinery, as well as the prohibition of fuel imports, which are essential for operating the remaining facilities to manage leaks and waste disposal."
