"Imran Al-Tawil, a five-year-old boy, stood under a small tree he had planted with his tiny hands, dreaming it would grow with him and shelter him beneath its branches. He loved life the way birds love the sky, running around the tree and whispering his innocent wishes to it. But in a heartbeat, an Israeli airstrike struck near his tent, tearing out his right eye and leaving him with half a vision and a wounded dream. Today, he sits on the rubble of his stolen childhood, gently touching the empty space where his eye once was, and asks his mother in a trembling voice, * "Why did they take my eye, Mama? What did I do to them?"* Imran is a living testament to the countless children of Gaza who have been stripped of every right, yet his spirit refuses to surrender.
