According to the press, on Augustus 21, Israeli forces injured a Palestinian citizen, at midnight ednesday/Thursday, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, after hurling a concussion grenade into his vehicle. The Israeli forces, stationed in the southern part of Hebron city, opened fire towards his vehicle with live ammunition.Then, the soldiers stopped and searched his vehicle, allowed Jaber to leave, and then hurled a concussion grenade into the man’s vehicle. The grenade exploded and smoke could be seen escaping from the windows, causing the man to suffer inhalation injuries; he was transported to hospital for treatment.Media sources said that the explosion caused major damage to the interior of the vehicle.

The testimonies of Muhammad Jaber, 36, and his wife ‘Abir Jaber, 33 (according to B'tselem)

They describe how they were attacked by soldiers who threw a stun grenade into their car during a routine trip to buy groceries.

Muhammad Jaber’s Testimony:

While driving to buy groceries with his wife, Muhammad encountered soldiers after hearing gunfire. He stopped the car and saw soldiers approaching with weapons aimed at them. Despite his pleas not to shoot, soldiers forcibly removed him from the car, cursed at him, and interrogated him about his presence in the area. As soldiers pushed him back toward the car, Muhammad heard his wife shouting about a grenade. The stun grenade exploded near his face, causing him to lose consciousness. Muhammad awoke in a hospital with severe head pain, ringing in his ears, and difficulty breathing. Their car sustained extensive damage, and he continues to experience significant health issues.

‘Abir Jaber’s Testimony:

‘Abir described her terror when soldiers surrounded their car and aggressively pulled her husband out. She was afraid they would shoot them both. One soldier mockingly threw a stun grenade into the car, which exploded under Muhammad’s face after she tried to push it away. She managed to escape the car, sought help from residents, and accompanied her unconscious husband to the hospital. She continues to experience back pain and emotional distress.Both Muhammad and ‘Abir are left physically injured and emotionally shaken. Their car was severely damaged, and their children were traumatized after learning of the incident from the news.
