Archivist Notes: Murder of child Hatem Ghaith

On october 7, 12-year-old (or 13 y/o) Hatem Sami Hisham Ghaith was killed after he was shot by live bullets in the abdomen during the israeli Army raid of Qalandia camp, occupied Jerusalem. He was rescued by the RCPS crew but died later in the hospital.

Hatem was a poetry lover and an 8th grade student at Ruwad al-‘Elm School in Jerusalem.

At least 8 other Palestinian were wounded during an Israeli military incursion into Qalandia refugee camp and the Kafr Aqab neighborhood, north of Jerusalem, and three other children were injured and 20 people were detained during the Israeli operation in Qalandia refugee camp and Kafr Aqab.
