"Freed Palestinian captive Asmaa al-Shatat returned to her job as a teacher in a destroyed school in Deir Al Balah Gaza on March 1, 2025, days after enduring over a year of brutal imprisonment by Israeli forces. Arrested on March 5, 2024, following an occupation raid on her home where soldiers shot her husband and threatened to execute her children, she survived severe physical and psychological torture in Israeli detention.
