"Former Israeli Defense Minister and current Knesset member Lieberman is calling for depriving the Gaza Strip of water, electricity, fuel, and goods, which contradicts international humanitarian law that the occupying power is responsible for providing basic needs to the civilian population in the territories it occupies. This includes the provision of food, water, healthcare, and essential services such as electricity and water. This responsibility is enshrined in the Geneva Conventions, particularly the Fourth Convention, which concerns the protection of civilians during wartime.
