Archivist Notes: Al-Sayyed family massacre

Moments after midnight, the IDF struck the Al-Sayyed family house in Al-Faluja, Jabalia camp.

The family called journalist Anas Al-Sharif requesting help from ambulance to rescue casualties among the 20 family members inside the besieged house.

Rescue only managed to reach the family early morning, and recovered the bodies of 11 killed family members. In addition, the paramedic who was coordinating the rescue of the family was killed.

Journalist Karam Hassan posted about the paramedic: "Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar, a hero and resident of Jabalia Camp, was martyred yesterday after tirelessly risking his life multiple times to rescue others amid intense Israeli bombardment. Known for his courage, he repeatedly crossed dangerous lines to carry the wounded on his shoulders and drag them to safety. He lost his life yesterday while attempting to save the Al-Sayyed family in the Faluja area. The family of 20 had been bombarded and besieged by the IOF, which led to 10 of them being martyred and the rest wounded."
