"Friends. This is important to watch and share. This is a video posed now by a mother in Khan Younis. It’s late evening when the Israeli tanks advanced towards the houses in south of Khan Younis. It’s dark inside and outside. Parents could barely see their children. I hear a girl asking, “should we go right or left?” And then the mother asked about her neighbors whether they were leaving with them. They walked beside the walls before getting into their car. On the way, they encountered frightened children walking in the street. They invited them to get into the car with them. There was an air strike close to them. And the gunpowder was blocking the sight and suffocating everyone. This is only a minute and a half. It’s been a year."

The family is fleeing their home in pitch darkness as Israeli armored vehicles were getting close. The mother is heard instructing children fumbling in the dark to stick by the wall, and giving them directions before they managed to get into their car. The family picked up other children (possibly relatives) on the way, and kept praying for safety on the way.
On the night of October, seemingly as an immediate response to the Iranian reprisal, Israeli tanks advanced suddenly through various areas of Khan Younis and fired indiscriminately at civilian homes along with aerial strikes.
