"61-year-old Mahmoud Hassan Al-Wardian from Bethlehem was released from Israeli detention Sept. 12 in critical condition after three weeks in interrogation cells. Prisoners’ groups say he endured severe torture that caused a “serious deterioration” in his health. Video shows him being rushed to hospital immediately after release. Rights groups warn his case is part of a mass campaign of arrests — nearly 20,000 Palestinians have been detained in the West Bank since Oct. 2023, many held without charge and subjected to systematic torture, abuse, and medical neglect." - Source
