"The IDF withdrew from the west of the city of Hamed and according to reports from Gaza is still operating in the east of the city"

IDF occupied Hamad City, a residential neighborhood at the east fo Khan Younis, from Augustus 11 to Augustus 24.

The IDF ordered the residents and displaced people in "population block 36" to be displaced again. This particular block was (we believe) chosen for a very specific reason. It's a complxe of large buildings. These are all residential towers, capable of housing roughly 100,000 souls. Block 36 was one of the most important in the concentration area in Gaza strip, as there is a severe shortage of housing and even space to set up tents. With the Hamad Towers excluded, people became a lot more concentrated, more than the size of the block would suggest.
