Munir Al-Borno, a young man with a hearing disability (deaf), lost his wife, son and several members of his family in an Israeli airstrike while they were trying to return to their homes southeast of Gaza City. Despite his forced silence, his pain screams in everyone’s hearts, and embodies the extent of the injustice that Gaza experiences daily.

The facts :

• Five members of the Al-Bourno family were killed when they were targeted by occupation warplane artillery on Salah al-Din Street, in the Shafut area near the Tafesh Freezers, while they were going to check on their home in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. Source

• Dr. Najwa Al-Bourno was on duty when five of her relatives were brought to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, including Hassan Mounir Al-Bourno, who was deaf.

• While collecting their remains, members of the Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance crew were fired on by Israeli snipers, but succeeded in recovering 5 bodies and an injured person.
