Translation:

"These are the shouts of those searching for signs of life under the rubble, and this is the place struck by the IDF, destroying three houses on top of their inhabitants. We are now at Ard al-Shanti, west of Gaza City, where the IDF aircraft bombed these houses and all who were inside, none of which was found yet. We are near the Dar al-Arqam school/shelter where hundreds of families are sheltering. Theneighboring houses have also been damaged. With us here is Abu Muhammad, a resident of the neighborhood. Abu Muhammad tell us what happened here?"

Abu Muhammad recounts how the strike happened suddenly and how the neighbors moved to check what happened and managed to rescue a wounded person miraculously. "The guys who were working here were rendering a service to the people doing their best to generate fuel. But Israel does not want us to improve our living conditions in any way." "When the strike happened, people left the classrooms in a hurry to the courtyard and checking on each other and their families as it was terrifying. Thankfully, there were only very few injuries among the people at the school."

"This Israeli strike is not new to the area which has seen extensive destruction since the start of the war. Next to the house where I stand was a facility to generate energy, compensating for Israel's denial of the entry of fuel. The people had improvised tools to sustain their lives, but Israel keep hunting down such initiatives."

Archivist Notes: Three houses and energy production workshop bombed

First salvo of strikes

At midday, Israeli strikes at midday hit three houses close to the Dar al-Arqam school in the Ard al-Shanti area , west of Gaza City.

The series of strikes also completely destroyed a makeshift facility used to produce fuel with outdated processes amid the continued lack of energy sources imposed by Israel.

Journalists and witnesses described the attack as an Israeli attempt to deny all efforts to restore life to Gaza or alleviate the harsh conditions.

Some journalists reported that the facility belonged to the Palestinian Civil Defense. However, the latter denied that its energy production facility was struck: "We deny what is being circulated in the media about targeting a civil defense facility that is used for supplying diesel. We confirm that since the beginning of the war we have been suffering from a severe shortage of fuel to operate civil defense vehicles and equipment." Source

Journalists and displaced people in the nieghborhood described the attack as a clear attempt to destroy and punish all attempts to support and restore life in Gaza. https://x.com/AnasAlSharif0/status/1834922743273287990
