Archivist Notes On This Video
"Jabalia suffers an Israeli military operation for the 6th consecutive day. Civil Defense crews have been working since the start of this operation to rescue civilians, recover martyrs, or retrieve to the best of our ability people from under the rubble of the houses destroyed by the IOF.
We receive dozens of SOSs around the clock informing us that there are martyrs and injured in houses struck by the IOF. However, we regrettably cannot respond to those SOSs. Either the casualties are in a red zone where Israeli vehicles are present, or the buildings have been completely destroyed, making it difficult for us to pull out people from the rubble due to the lack of equipment and heavy machinery.
Given this difficult catastrophic situation in Jabalia, which has been subject to a complete siege for 6 days without anyone being able to enter or leave, families are suffering. Over 200,000 citizens present in northern Gaza face death, along with the Civil Defense crews and healthcare workers. In our last call with our crews over there, they told us they did not eat anything since yesterday and have no food or drink at their disposal, just like all civilians there. And the Israeli occupation maintains its siege.
Given this difficult situation, we call on international organizations and institutions to urgently intervene to save the lives of civilians in Jabalia and the healthcare workers and Civil Defense crews, who are doing their best with what little resources at their disposal to continue to serve the residents of Jabalia."
