Archivist Notes On This Video

"This place is a Civil Defense HQ from where to depart to respond to strikes. We've been here for about 7 months.

Yesterday, we were targeted by a missile that penetrated three floors. My colleagues were all here on these mattresses. But thank God, by his grace we were safe as the bomb did not explode.

(0:37) this is where I sleep. Everyone knows that since the start of war I've never left my work but Allah decreed that I would sustain an injury to my back after the last rescue mission, which was under the rubble. I went to get some natural treatment at my aunt and told me that I need a bit of rest."

Quoting Civil Defense spokesman, Mahmoud Basal: "Our headquarters in Gaza City was targeted by a missile from the occupation aircraft that penetrated 3 floors and did not explode."

Press statement issued by the Civil Defense in Gaza:

▪️ Our crews were targeted by the Israeli occupation air force at the Al-Daraj Civil Defense Center with a missile that did not explode. The targeting resulted in 3 minor injuries.

▪️ The occupation's continued targeting of our crews demonstrates the destruction of the humanitarian work system.

▪️ We call on international institutions to take a clear position to achieve protection for our crews in accordance with the Geneva Conventions and their annexes.
