Around 1:45 pm, an Israeli airstrike targeted the Deir al-Balah municipality building, killing 10 people, including the mayor Dyab Al-Jarou and several municipality employees.

Dyab is the fourth head of municipality in central Gaza alone to be assassinated by Israel in a bid to sow chaos and lawlessness among the population and prevent the provision of municipalty services to the population.

In addition to destroying the municipality buildings in Zawayda, Maghazi, Bureij, Zahraa, Israel murdered the following mayors in central Gaza:

• Head of the Zahraa Municipality, Eng. Marwan Hamad
• Head of the Maghazi Municipality, Eng. Hatem Al-Ghamri
• Head of the Nuseirat Municipality, Dr. Iyad Al-Maghari

One of the victims had lost his phone to a thief. He went to file a complaint at the police station next to the municipality building, and arrived there at the same moment of the bombing. (source)
