• IDF air strike bombed the Market zone early in the Morning.

• At least nine were killed.

• The targeted area was classified by the Israeli army as a “civilian safe zone” amid IDF ongoing offensive on the Gaza Strip.

• This area is close to the market, it’s a very busy street. It has a lot of traffic and that’s why there are a lot of casualties folowing Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary correspondant.

• The market was crowded with people at the time of the attack as it is located near a station serving the Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, which Israel classified as a “safe zone” for Palestinian civilians.

• Many children were injured in the attack that hit an area less than a kilometre (0.6 miles) away from the Al-Aqsa Hospital, where most of the injured were brought.

• “There are at least 10 Palestinians, including children, still in the ICU,” Hind Khoudary said, adding that many of them are in critical condition “Most of those who were wounded were children. We saw them in the hospital in the corridors lying on the ground, covered in blood and waiting for doctors.”

• The attack came shortly after at least 12 people were killed in an Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced people in Gaza City on Tuesday.
