In this report Anas AlSharif via phone call recounts details of the first strike on Hamama School, reporting that there are victims everywhere inside the classrooms as well as in the school courtyard.
He added that the IDF warned of an imminent second strike and consequently prevented the rescue of victims. The focus in this report was on the concern about victims left behind
Timeline based on multiple footage and reports on the ground mainly from Anas Sharif, Islam Bader and Hossam Shabat:
- First strike was carried without warning on Hamama School, 10 killed
- As rescue efforts to evacuate victims started, IDF called some people warning of an imminent second strike. Paramedics and civilians hurried to evacuate, forced to leave behind the dead and wounded from the first strike
- Second firebelt strikes, 2 consecutive hits and 6 detonations heard, on the surrounding shelter area comprising a compound of 3 schools: Hamama, Rafidayn, and another so far unidentified school. A fourth single strike followed after.
- Paramedics and ambulances finally obtain approval of IDF to enter and hurry to rescue victims. Most victims are women and children, with shredded body parts strewn everywhere. 17 killed 60 injured as of Aug 3rd
