"*I am in the Zaitoun School, in southeast Gaza City. This school was bombed and destroyed by the Israeli warplanes and used to shelter a number of displaced persons. We can see this frying pan which was used to prepare food and is now stained with the blood of the children and women whow ere inside this school.
A massacre was perpetrated against the displaced civilians here. There are reports of around 20 martyrs and dozens of injuries who were taken to the Baptist (Al-Ahli) hospital.
The destruction is extensive and we can see canned food strewn about, stained by the blood of the displaced. Toilets have also been destroyed (Camera pans to the ceiling) *We can see here the impact of the bomb that was dropped by Israeli warplanes. Two bombs were dropped. Belongings strewn about and destroyed. The IOF is clearly following a policy by destroying shelters and UNRWA schools. This is where the second bomb was dropped. This is only part of the what happens in Gaza City and northern Gaza as the war and siege continues."
On midday, the IDF carried out an airstrike on the UNRWA Al Zaitoun Preparatory Girls’ School “C”, situated next to the Al-Falah school in a school-complex are in Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The school, like all others in Gaza, is used as shelter by displaced persons.
Note: local press correspondents reported the school under different names: Al-Falah School, or Al-Zaitoun School "B". We know that all of these schools are part of the same UNRWA school-complex.
The horrific footage showed severed body parts and amputated children all around the place.
Two bombs were dropped on the school, as confirmed by the Civil Defense and seen in footage by Al-Jazeera journalist Anas Al-Sharif showing clearly two separate spots where the ceiling penetrated, showing very comparable holes caused by the bombs. Two wing fragments of GBU-39 SDBs (Small Diameter Bombs) were found, in addition to what could be the nosecone of one of those bombs
The school-complex was previously bombed twice: on November 16, 2023 and July 18, 2024.
