We will return here.” (Tali) A soldier of the Israeli occupation forces is reciting “The Blessing of the Trees,” a Jewish blessing traditionally recited during the Hebrew month of Nisan (usually April) in appreciation of the blooming of fruit trees; this is done once a year, generally in the context of celebrating the renewal and beauty of nature in spring. What blessing can a person receive while standing inside a stolen house that has been bombed and its owners killed or displaced? جندي من قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يتلو "بركة الأشجار"، وهو دعاء يهودي يُتلى خلال شهر نيسان العبري (عادةً في أبريل) تقديرًا لتفتح أشجار الفاكهة؛ ويُتلى مرة واحدة في السنة، عادة في سياق الاحتفال بتجدد وجمال الطبيعة في الربيع أي بركة يمكن أن يحصل عليها الإنسان وهو يقف داخل منزل مسلوب تم قصفه وقتل أو تشريد أصحابه؟"
