"الطفلة ملك أحمد القانوع، عمرها يومان، وُلدت بلا دماغ في مستشفى العودة شمال غزة، في واحدة من الحالات الصادمة لتشوّه الأجنّة في الأرحام، وهي ظاهرة تُسجل زيادتها بشكل ملحوظ في الحروب، وربما ترتبط باستخدام الأسلحة التي يجربها الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في غزة ضد المدنيين وضد أطفالنا. ما يحدث في غزة اليوم يعيد إلى الأذهان ما وثّق في العراق بعد الغزو، حين ارتفعت معدلات التشوهات الخلقية بفعل التلوث والإشعاع الناتج عن القصف. نطالب بتحقيق دولي في أسباب هذه الحالات المتكررة، وفي طبيعة الأسلحة المستخدمة. Baby Malak Ahmad Al-Qanoua, just two days old, was born without a brain at al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza—one of the shocking cases of fetal deformities in the womb. This phenomenon has been increasingly documented during times of war and may be linked to the experimental weapons used by the Israeli occupation in Gaza against civilians and our children. What is happening in Gaza today recalls what was documented in Iraq after the invasion, where birth defects surged due to pollution and radiation caused by the bombardment. We demand an international investigation into the causes of these recurring cases and the nature of the weapons being used." - Source
