"محمد مطر استشهد نتيجة عدم تمكنه من الحصول على العلاج في غزة، ولم يُسمح له بالسفر لتلقي الرعاية الطبية. لا يزال عشرات الآلاف من المرضى والجرحى في غزة يعانون من نقص حاد في الخدمات الطبية، نتيجة الحصار الإسرائيلي ومنع دخول الأدوية. العديد من هؤلاء المرضى يعانون من حالات خطيرة تتطلب العلاج في الخارج، لكن الاحتلال يواصل منعهم من السفر. هناك 12,400 جريح و3,000 مريض بأمراض مختلفة بحاجة ماسة للسفر لتلقي العلاج، إضافة إلى 12,500 مريض سرطان يواجهون خطر الموت ويحتاجون بشكل عاجل إلى توفر العلاج المناسب داخل غزة. Many of these patients suffer from critical conditions that require travel abroad, yet they are prevented from doing so by the occupation.
