"🟠 Northern Gaza | July 19, 2025 Medical sources in Gaza report the case of Ahmed, a 17-year-old boy with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, now immobile due to starvation. His family, unable to reach Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid sites, is trapped in northern Gaza where no functional nutrition centers remain—and Kamal Adwan field hospital was shut down months ago. His sister, also malnourished, struggles to walk without fainting. Healthcare colleagues inside Gaza—many of them starving themselves—told us there is “nothing left” to give. Hospitals are over capacity and unable to offer support. In desperation, some doctors pooled their own funds to help the family buy what little food remains on the market. This is not an isolated case. It reflects a broader system of engineered starvation, made worse by the destruction of humanitarian infrastructure in the north.
