The Gaza Civil Defense team is coordinating with Tareq Abu Hadrous, the father of the family whose house has been bombed in Qatar Street, Hamad City, Khan Younis.

The father told the Gaza Civil Defense that out of family of 16, 4 were not at home, whereas 10 were killed and/or under the rubble including his wife, second daughter, sister and nieces. The Civil Defense noted to Tareq that while they're ready to move out, the house is in a very dangerous zone and the rescue mission requires coordination with the Red Crescent and clearance from the IDF.

Archivist Notes: Abu Hadrous family massacre

The 2-storey home of the Abu Hadrous family was struck by an Israeli airstrike on the night of August 21 in Khan Younis. The father, Tareq Abu Hadrous, recorded the aftermath from the debris of his destroyed home, where only he and his daughter survived, while 10 family members perished or remain buried under the rubble.

The father told the Gaza Civil Defense that out of his family of 16, 4 were not at home, whereas 10 were killed and/or under the rubble including his wife, daughter, sister and nieces.

The Civil Defense and the father coordinated about a rescue. However, the target area was noted to be dangerous due to IDF presence and rescue teams needed to coordinate with the Red Crescent and getting clearance from the IDF, which didn't happen.

The father and daughter found themselves with no alternative but to leave the site and their beloved ones behind, risking their safety.

The martyrs were recovered from the rubble 3days later, on August 24, after the IDF's withdrawal from Hamad City:
