"18 bakeries run by the World Food Programme were shut down last night due to the lack of fuel and flour entering the Gaza Strip. This effectively cuts off one of the last remaining sources of bread for civilians, pushing even those who had managed to survive the famine back into it, and threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands. The shutdown follows Israel’s closure of all crossings into Gaza since March 2, 2025, using the blockade as both a negotiation tactic and, according to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s latest statement, a means to implement a broader plan of ethnic cleansing.
