Israeli army expels the Bedouin community of Ein Ayoub, near Deir Ammar, West Bank
The Ein Ayoub Bedouin community (Ramallah, near Deir Ammar) is an "Area C" community threatened with forcible transfer by both Israeli settlers and the Israeli army: — 19 households comprising 102 members.
Extensive Israeli settler groundworks have already been completed around Ein Ayoub- adjacent to community structures and grazing lands, significantly restricting movement and access. These ground works have effectively enabled Israeli settler infrastructure to surround the community’s perimeter — bypass roads, settlements, including Na’aleh and Nahliel, and settlement outposts including a recently established one in the Al Reysan area. This new outpost is linked to the Neria outpost, commonly referred to as ‘Neria’s farm’, which is linked to Neria Ben Pazi who has been sanctioned by multiple governments, due to his alleged involvement in violent attacks and forced displacement of Palestinians.
August 8, 2025 – Jewish settlers raided the community, terrorizing residents and warning them they had 24 hours to leave the area. According to reports from the community, on 8 August at approximately 19:00, armed settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, entered the community and assaulted residents. Settlers verbally ordered the community to leave within 24 hours, while Israeli forces told residents they had one week to vacate. All threats were verbal only, with no written orders, creating legal uncertainty and heightening fear. We understand that the Palestinian Authority is supporting legal aid in this community.
August 9, 2025 – On the morning, 9 August, approximately 30 armed settlers arrived near the community and remain present, maintaining pressure and threats. Residents moved their sheep out at night to avoid harm or confiscation. Palestinian homes were torched by violent Israeli settlers.
August 11, 2025 – After residents had already resigned themselves to displacement by settler militias and were preparing to leave their homes within the next couple of days, soldiers arrived in the village late at night. They declared the village a "closed military zone" and ordered the residents to leave immediately.
When locals firmly refused to leave during the night, the soldiers “allowed” them to stay until 1 p.m., in two separate tents — one for men, the other for women — on the condition that, while in the village, no one could leave the tents or move between them.
After granting this “permission,” the soldiers forced one of the men to state on camera that no one had attempted to expel them
Testimony of the activits account Dror Etkes
I have been going around the West Bank for over 20 years, and I can testify that the connection between IDF and the settlers has always been a malignant block of poison, but it has never been as close to the level of toxicity as it is under the current Central Command chief, Avi Balut [He replaced Major General Yehuda Fox as the central commander chief.]. This is the order, according to which the soldiers on the spot expelled the Bedouins from their homes last night. Take note of the name: “Peace Farm Area.” The IDF spokesperson claims it was a mistake by the soldiers on the ground: There is no “farm” there, nor any “peace.” There is also no legal basis for establishing a “farm” since there is no “state land” there. What there is, is an outpost from which the violence in the area began — but the Orwellian name reveals the settlers’ plans. The poisonous fingerprints of Smotrich and his people in the Ministry of Defense are as clear as can be. The closure order signed by Inan Fares, the newly appointed commander of the Binyamin Brigade, [Anan is the commander chief of the Binyamin brigade. He currently holds the rank of lieutenant colonel] is not a “mistake,” as the IDF spokesperson claims, but the most distilled and authentic expression of how the settlers operate the army — however and whenever they want. The soldiers expelled the Palestinians yesterday because that is what they were told they should do.
