Pogrom on Deir Dibwan and Beitin

On June 4, 2025, on Wednesday evening, dozen of Israeli settler from an outpost established on the lands of Deir Dibwan and the nearby village of Burqa attacked the Deir Dibwan town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, and injured 10 Palestinians.

  • They attacked the houses of some of the town residents, and set fire to a local farm in addition to several vehicles and livestock, and horse barns at the western entrance.

  • The Israeli assailants encroached upon houses, besieged some families inside, and prevented not only youths, but also ambulances and firefighters from accessing the area to provide first aid treatment to casualties and put out the fires.

  • They hurled stones at passersby on the main street adjacent to the town.

Casualties:

10 Palestinians sustained injuries as a result:

  • PRCS crews provided first aid treatment to two Palestinians who sustained injuries due to being beaten by the settlers, before being subsequently hospitalized.
  • PRCS crews also treated five others who were injured due to being physically assaulted by the settlers at the local medical center.
  • The others received treatment at a local medical center.

Beitin:

  • The assailants also attacked Palestinians’ houses and properties in the nearby town of Beitin, and attempted to set fire to several houses.

  • The Israeli forces protected the assailants and sealed off the town entrance, preventing residents from entering or exiting it.

Similar incidents have occurred in the past

  • on June 17, 2024, seven Palestinian youths were injured during a settler attack in Deir Dibwan, and an ambulance's windows were smashed.

  • on November 4, 2024, Israeli settlers burned several Palestinian vehicles in Deir Dibwan and scrawled racist slogans on a retaining wall.
