Child killed in airstrike on a displacement camp

Early afternoon, an Israeli airstrike targeted the Al-Israa camp for displaced Palestinians, located next to Al-Israa Tower and Al-Mostaqbal Model Private School, on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, Gaza City.

While a warning was reportedly given, the IDF used a 2,000 pound bomb causing a violent explosion, leaving a crater in its wake, and killing a four year-old girl who was roughly 130m away from the location of the airstrike.

The bomb has been precisely identified as an MK-84 2,000 pound bomb with a JDAM kit.

The IDP camp was established only a couple of days prior to the bombing.
