Arrest by Perfidy in Nablus Old City

The Israeli Border Police and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released on January 7, 2025, a footage from an undercover arrest operation in the Kasbah (Old City) of Nablus on the evening of January 2, based on intelligence provided by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).

Israeli security forces arrested a Palestinian man they "suspected to be a terrorist" at a cafe in Nablus in the West Bank. The undercover forces, operating covertly, entered the cafe undetected and arrested the unnamed suspect on-site.

As the team withdrew, they encountered violent resistance from local groups (explosive devices, Molotov cocktails, and stones), while Israeli special forces employed live ammunition to shoot several assailants, allowing their escape.

Israeli officials have not disclosed the suspect’s identity or the specific charges against him, citing operational security concerns.

He has been transferred to the custody of the Shin Bet for further interrogation.
